Franchise Hall of Fame Nomination Form
You are invited to nominate those you believe are worthy of induction into the Franchise Hall of Fame. Inductees into the Franchise Hall of Fame will provide current and future franchise systems with inspiration to strive for the highest standards and values in franchising.
FCA Hall of Fame Members’ Induction Criteria
1. Requirement
An inductee must be a franchisor, franchisee or individual who has made significant contributions to the advancement of franchising and the Australian franchising community, exemplifying the very best of what the franchising community has to offer. This contribution will have been made by eveloping successful franchising programs and innovative activities that benefit franchising.
2. Eligibility
Any person who is, has been, or, has held a senior management position, such as a founder, a CEO or any other person in the franchise community, who has contributed and played a significant role as: (a) a franchisor (b) a franchisee (c) an academic, advisor or service provider
3. Evaluation criteria
- Candidates should have a proven and established record of accomplishment and achievement in franchising.
- Have a good reputation and enjoy the respect of other franchisors and franchisees.
- Have contributed significantly to the advancement of franchising and to the franchising community.
- Have built, or significantly contributed, to an organisation that has grown through successful and innovative franchising programs.
- Be a pioneer / legend in the industry and recognised for a lifetime of achievement in franchising.
- Have been involved in franchising within Australia for more than 15 years.
- Have given service within FCA – Committees, Board of Directors, or State Chapters.
- A candidate may be retired or deceased.
4. Nomination and selection process for induction into the Hall of Fame
- The nomination process will be conducted by the FCA, who will put out a call for nominations
- Self-nominations is accepted provided all evaluation criteria has been addressed.
- The nominee must be aware and consent to the nomination for potential induction into the FCA Hall of Fame (this requirement does not apply where the candidate is deceased).
- Each nomination must be completed usin gthe application form provided
- The candidate’s contribution to franchising in Australia must be completed in accordance with the guidelines and include two (2) supporting statements from persons experienced in franchising.
- Nominees must agree to the Hall of Fame Award Selection Panel interviewing the nominee, their colleagues, franchisees or any other person to verify compliance with the guidelines if required.
- Nominations to be made in line with application form instructions and must be received by the FCA National Office no later than the due date.
- The Hall of Fame Selection Panel and the FCA personnel will not engage in any correspondence or explanations for acceptance or non acceptance.
- The FCA will forward the nominations to the Hall of Fame governing committee within two weeks of the nomination closing date. The Committee will carefully examine the credentials of each of these submissions and reduce the potential number of inductees to a maximum of two (2). These nominee/s will be interviewed by the Hall of Fame Award Selection Panel and their recommendations will be put to the Hall of Fame Governing Committee to select a deserving nomination/s for that year.
- The Hall of Fame governing committee may decide from time to time not to nominate any inductee for admittance to the Franchise Hall of Fame.
- The annual Hall of Fame inductee will be recognised at the FCA Excellence in Franchising Awards Gala Dinner to be held at the culmination for the National Franchise Convention

- All sections must be completed and include supporting material required.
- Please adhere to word limits specified.
- Please ensure you have attached a current print quality jpeg image of the nominee.
- All nominees must agree to being interviewed by the Hall of Fame Selection Panel
