From a small plumbing business in Bundaberg to a national franchise network built on safety, innovation and community spirit, Warren Ballantyne’s journey embodies the best of Australian franchising.
The Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) has honoured Warren Ballantyne, founder and CEO of Gutter-Vac, as the 2025 Hall of Fame inductee, recognising his outstanding contribution to franchising and his role in shaping a trusted, professional model for service-based franchises across Australia.
More than 30 years ago, Warren identified a simple but powerful idea – that gutter cleaning could be safer, cleaner and smarter. By designing Australia’s first vacuum-based gutter cleaning system and developing the Gutter-Vac franchise model, Warren turned that idea into an enduring national success story.
Today, Gutter-Vac operates in communities right across the country, built on a culture of integrity, innovation and local involvement. Under Warren’s leadership, the network has supported the RSPCA for more than 15 years, providing complimentary services that protect animal shelters nationwide as well as land regeneration projects with Carbon Neutral.
Warren’s impact goes well beyond business success. His leadership has empowered franchisees, fostered community connections, and demonstrated how franchising can deliver genuine local and national benefit.
