Janiene Pollock has had a remarkable career in franchising, starting at a young age in a local McDonald's in Sydney and steadily advancing over 17 years in various roles. She opened a successful Gloria Jeans Coffees franchise in Burwood, NSW, and later ventured into the fitness industry with Fernwood Castle Hill and Fernwood Parramatta. 
 
After a successful franchise journey, Janiene and her family relocated to Perth, where they purchased and currently operate two McDonald's Restaurants. Janiene actively supports Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), serving on the RMHC WA Board, including a 6-year tenure as Board Chair. She is also a Director on the RMHC Australian Board and has chaired the Ride For Sick Kids initiative, raising over $3 million.

 

I am a results-oriented General Manager with extensive expertise in managing complex projects and driving transformational change. I’m currently the General Manager for Noodle Box, promoted to this position 18 months ago after leading the Operations team for 7 years.

I excel at identifying and managing critical business risks and have a proven ability to influence organisational strategy. My strength lies in developing and implementing innovative strategies that turn opportunities into tangible business outcomes, surpassing growth expectations.

I am passionate about innovation and thrive on tackling complex challenges by devising and executing effective solutions while securing stakeholder support. My leadership style is agile and forward-thinking, with a strong focus on customer-centric approaches that enhance business performance and customer satisfaction.

My core skills include business analytics, strategic planning, and executing B2B initiatives across client acquisition and retention, product development, partnerships, sales support, digital marketing, and communications. I have successfully built and led high-performing teams across the Asia-Pacific region, demonstrating hands-on leadership and collaboration. I prioritise developing close relationships with key stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and I am committed to strategic planning for future growth and success.

 

Michael is the founder of award winning and nationally recognised education franchisor, Success Tutoring which has positively impacted thousands of students and has provided everyday Aussies an opportunity to become their own boss. Michael is Australia’s youngest franchisor and was recently recognised as a Top 30 Franchise Executive in Australia.

Michael launched Success Tutoring from a spare room, without external investors and it has rapidly grown to become one of Australia’s fastest-growing education franchises. Under Michael’s leadership, Success Tutoring will launch 100+ sites in Australia and New Zealand by 2024.

In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Michael is actively involved in community service. He volunteered at the Rural Fire Service, demonstrating a commitment to public safety. Furthermore, he served as the president of the Patrician Brothers’ Old Boys union from 2020 to 2022, showcasing his dedication to fostering connections and contributing to the community.

Michael pursued his education at the University of Sydney, where he studied commerce and majored in commercial law and management. Furthering his entrepreneurial knowledge, Michael also studied Entrepreneurship at the Harvard Online Business School.

 

Nathan possesses 14 years of experience in the Franchising sector. With experience in QSR, Fitness, and the Trades sector, Nathan has a range of experience in recruitment; Understanding how to maintain or implement a consistent and compliant recruitment process, whilst considering the financial and cultural factors of a prospective partners application.

 

A commercially astute marketing and management professional with a proven record of driving profitable sales and achieving results. Demonstrated ability to facilitate change and build relationships whilst creating and implementing positive outcomes for all key stakeholders.

Significant experience within the petroleum convenience and FMCG industries with a proven ability to develop, implement and deliver key retail initiatives whilst achieving robust growth targets and improving operational efficiencies.

Strong experience identifying, developing and leading team members to achieve high performance levels in a complex retail environment.

 

Rajiv Rajan is a Certified Practicing Business Broker and sits on the WA Committees of the Franchise Council Australia (FCA), and Australian Institute of Business Brokers (AIBB). 

Rajiv is MBA qualified and commercially astute, with 8 Award Winning years’ experience in the WA Business and Franchise sales arena.

In April 2019, Rajiv was appointed to the FCA National Franchisee Advisory Committee, working with the FCA providing input on strategic and policy sector issues.

Rajiv has seen the peaks and the troughs in Franchising & Business Sales since 2012, having worked with many of the leading brands, new and established business owners, and a cross section of single, and multi-unit franchisees.

Tamra Seaton practices mainly in the area of franchising and licensing law and also the related areas of trade practices compliance, intellectual property and commercial property law. Tamra counts several large franchisors among her long-term clients and also acts for several new and emerging franchise systems, as well as master franchisees and franchisees. Tamra is a former State President of the WA State Chapter Committee and Director of the Franchise Council of Australia and is also on the Legal Committee and  Women in Franchising Committee. Tamra has been included in Best Lawyers in Australia and Who’s Who Legal for over 10 years.  Tamra is a Consulting Principal with Keypoint Law.
